Healthcare Inequity Educational Initiative

Equitable health care encourages more efficient healthcare delivery overall, as a healthier population requires less medical care. This potentially equates to fewer doctor visits, lower healthcare spending per patient, and better health outcomes for patients, especially those with current marginalized access to healthcare.

Corporate leaders and health administrators in particular have a unique role in bringing about greater equity in health care. They are in a position to hire and retain professionals from diverse backgrounds and work to address biases that may exist in healthcare settings. They can also support early adoption of telehealth technologies, mobile health clinic capabilities, and other innovative health delivery service options.
